Unlike a traditional thermostatic sandwich plate this unit is designed to be installed away from the engine block closer to the oil cooler (on a crossmember frame rail or other suitable mounting points). Featuring four male Dash 10 fittings it easily integrates inline with your oil cooler hoses.The internal thermostat calibrated at 85°C (185°F) provides precise and reliable oil temperature regulation helping extend the service life of mechanical components while ensuring optimal performance even under demanding conditions. It automatically restricts oil flow to the cooler when the oil is cold (cold starts winter operation etc.) then allows maximum flow once the oil temperature exceeds 85°C to maintain an ideal operating range and prevent overheating.
